Nurgul is a Director of Strategy and Operations at Johnson & Johnson, Middle East and Africa.
She began her career in 1993 as Electrical & Electronic Engineer at Hitachi Medical Corporation, held number of positions with increasing responsibilities in services, supply chain, sales & marketing. In 2003, she was appointed as Managing Director for Turkey and CIS countries.
Between 2008 and 2011, she continued her career with General Electric Healthcare business in Turkey.
At the beginning of 2011 Nurgul joined Johnson & Johnson as General Manager for Turkey and by 2014 she moved to Moscow to lead JnJ Medical Devices business in Russia & CIS countries, in which she was instrumental in successfully addressing the risks in the severe economic crisis environment, identifying strategic moves and directing business to those growth opportunities and delivering double digit growth, whilst maintaining a strong focus on talent development. She joined JnJ Middle East organization in 2016.
Throughout her 20+ years career in Medical Devices & Healthcare industry, she has demonstrated consistent track record on transforming businesses and moving into new spaces & achieved pioneering results not only in the country but also at regional levels. Her broad business experience in different Emerging markets & highly developed sense of discernment in identifying strategic moves will serve her well in contributing Mecomed working group objectives.
Nurgul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and an executive MBA from Middle East Technical University.
Nurgul leads Mecomed Market Access Committee.
